Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey” has surpassed “Deadpool & Wolverine” to become the highest-grossing R-rated movie ever, earning $1.352 billion worldwide. The film opened July 17 with a $123 million domestic debut and has since collected $516 million domestically and $835 million internationally. IMAX screenings alone generated $354 million, making it IMAX’s highest-grossing release ever, overtaking 2009’s “Avatar”.
