Netflix and the PGA have released the trailer for “The Hawk,” a new comedy series starring Will Ferrell as a has-been pro golfer mounting a comeback. The official logline reads “Lonnie Hawkins, 2004’s #1 golfer, struggles on the back 9 of his career to recapture his magic. His body says retire, but his heart says he’s not done yet.” Lonnie believes he’s just one stroke away from the greatest comeback in golf history. “The Hawk” lands July 16.

DC Studios has revealed 3 animated series — “Absolute Batman”, “Joker: Laugh Riot”, and “Krypto”. “Absolute Batman”, adapted from the 2024 comic, portrays Bruce Wayne as a working-class hero. “Joker: Laugh Riot” follows the Joker as he hunts Batman’s killer, becoming more “vigilante than villain.” The “Krypto” series is based around Superman’s dog.
Jay-Z has officially announced an 8-part documentary series coming to HBO this fall. The new project is titled “Jay-Z in 8,” and Rick Rubin will direct the entire series. The documentary features extended, intimate conversations between the two longtime collaborators as they break down the music, lyrics, and creative process behind the catalog.
