Movie theater chains are going all out for “Scream 7”. Newly released concession accessories, including a bloody “Ghostface” popcorn bucket, have fans “screaming” with excitement. In addition to concession accessories, like themed cups or popcorn buckets, some theaters will also be selling ghost pepper flavored popcorn and a travel sweepstakes. “Scream 7” opens February 27.
Five years after his brief run on “American Idol”, previously unseen footage of Benson Boone performing on the show finally aired during Monday’s episode. Producers broadcast an unaired 2021 duet between Benson and returning contestant Mary Jo Young from season 19. They performed ‘You Say’ by Lauren Daigle, but the pairing did not make it to air at the time.
The documentary “Billy Idol Should Be Dead” will finally hit theaters in North America February 26. There will be special premieres February 23 in LA and February 25 in New York, featuring an acoustic performance by Billy, and guitarist and collaborator Steve Stevens. Sony Pictures has acquired worldwide rights to “Skeletons”, a new horror thriller produced by JJ Abrams and starring Brie Larson. The studio outbid Paramount, Warner Bros., and Neon in a bidding war. The story centers on a son and his mother, who is mysteriously locked in a cage each night.
“Predator: Badlands” has become Hulu’s top film premiere since the streamer’s last entry in the franchise, “Prey”, in 2022. The film drew nearly 9 million global views in its first five days. “Badlands” debuted last fall with $40 million in domestic box office earnings and $80 million worldwide. It went on to reach a franchise record of $184.5 million globally.
Devon Sawa will appear as a guest star in Disney’s new series “Coven Academy”. The show, approved in August 2025, is scheduled to premiere on Disney Channel and Disney+ in 2026, though a release date has not been announced. Set in New Orleans, the series follows three teenage witches and their warlock classmates at a powerful magic school.
Kristen Bell has joined the voice cast of “Sonic The Hedgehog 4”, taking on the role of Amy Rose, the pink hedgehog known for her affection for Sonic. P?rez Joglar, known as Residente, will make his directorial debut with the film “PORTO RICO”. Bad Bunny will lead a cast that includes Viggo Mortensen, Javier Bardem, and Edward Norton.
