A24 debuted the trailer for “How To Make A Killing”, starring Glen Powell as a man determined to seize his family’s inheritance. The plot follows Becket, a blue-collar worker who was disowned at birth by his “obscenely wealthy family,” and will go to any lengths necessary, including violence, to ensure his inheritance. The film, loosely based on 1949’s “Kind Hearts and Coronets”, hits theaters February 20.
Ray Romano definitively stated “Everybody Loves Raymond” will never return as a reboot during the show’s recent 30th Anniversary Reunion special. “We’re never going to do a reboot, because we’re missing three cast members, three family members,” Ray explained. “We’d never try to do the show without them.”
Amazon MGM is developing a “modern reimagining” of the 1987 comedy “Baby Boom”, six weeks after original star Diane Keaton died from pneumonia at age 79. Michael Showalter will direct the project. The original film starred Diane as a workaholic businesswoman forced to raise her cousin’s baby.
“Stranger Things” has become the first Netflix series to have all four seasons rank in the Top 10 at the same time. The surge comes as millions of viewers revisit the show ahead of the imminent Season 5 premiere. Season 4, released in 2022, remains Netflix’s third-most popular English-language series with 140.7 million views in its first 91 days.
FX has ordered a new anthology series inspired by the hit video game franchise “Far Cry”. The show’s first season is expected in the coming years. The series will be led by “It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia” creator Rob Mac and “Fargo” and “Alien: Earth” creator Noah Hawley. Each season will feature a new story, setting, and cast, echoing the structure of the games.
Paramount+ has set December 4 as the streaming debut for “Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning”, the eighth film in the action series. Eva Green has been cast as Aunt Ophelia in Season 3 of Netflix’s dark comedy “Wednesday”. The role was teased in the final scene of Season 2, which briefly showed the back of Ophelia’s head. Her casting ends fan rumors that Lady Gaga’s character, Rosalyn Rottwood, might be Ophelia. Ophelia Frump is sister to Catherine Zeta-Jones’ Morticia Addams.
Hulu has renewed “The Secret Lives of Mormon Wives” with a 20-episode order, set to premiere in early 2026. The reality series, which follows Utah-based influencers known as #Momtok, continues after Season 3 debuted on November 13. Hulu reported that viewership “grew season over season” but did not release figures. The cast plans to film through most of 2026.

Dr. J.D. Dorian and Scrubs are coming back! ABC released the first teaser for the “Scrubs” revival series, featuring Zach Braff returning to Sacred Heart as J.D. 15 years after the original hospital-set comedy ended. The brief clip features J.D. (Zach Braff), Turk (Donald Faison), and Elliot (Sarah Chalke) at the hospital meeting some new faces. The reboot will debut on February 25 on ABC.
